Everyone was waiting for a “Mega” which didn’t come but there still were good bird sightings today: 26 White-fronted Goose, 1 Hooded Crow, 1 Jay, 4 Raven, 20 Redpoll, 28 Siskin, 177 Chaffinch, 2 Brambling, 28 Blackbird, 25+ Redwing, 6+ Song Thrush, 1 Willow Warbler, 3 Blackcap, 2 Firecrest in forestry, 1 Wood Lark ,1 Short-eared Owl, 3 Woodcock, 800 Golden Plover, 2 Jack Snipe (NWT hide 1 and 3), 1 Velvet Scoter. There were also reports of 2 Lapland Bunting and 1 Shore Lark and 1 Water Pipit.
