Glossy Ibis
The morning was very atmospheric with the sun rising and lots of thrushes shooting out of the bushes. A heavy downpour just before lunch made me hide in the office, but luckily the sun came out again in the afternoon.
Best birds today are: 2 Jack Snipe, 4076 Pink-footed Goose (flew over Broadwater and landed in the field behind), 1 Glossy Ibis which flew over Broadwater and then landed shortly before flying off again. An hour later the same bird (or maybe a second one?) was seen flying over the track towards Holme village. 43 Curlew flew over Broadwater, 1 Ring Ouzel was reported around the NOA car park, 129 Redwing, 17 Blackbird were recorded around the Obs, 1 Snow Bunting was seen on the beach and 2 Lapland Bunting were seen at the east end of the beach.
