This morning it was drizzling and I spent an hour waiting at the laundrette in Fakenham for the bird bags to wash and dry. As we are ringing a lot at the moment, we have to wash the bags often and now that the weather is getting wetter it becomes a challenge to dry them.

Having finally arrived at the Obs I did the moth trap:

16 Large Yellow Underwing, 24 Square Spot Rustic, 4 Small Mottled Willow, 1 Rusty Dot Pearl, 3 Broad-bordered Yellow Underwing, 3 Lunar Underwing, 1 Frosted Orange, 1 L-album Wainscot, 1 Setaceous Hebrew Character, 1 Beet Moth, 1 Noctua janthe/janthina

Other insects recorded today are 4 Wall, 2 Small Heath, 4 Small White, 10+ Common Darter, 1 Willow Emerald Damselfly.

And the best mammal sighting was 1 Porpoise by Seamus.

The best birds today were around the 3^rd NWT hide with 1 Green Sandpiper, 1 Greenshank and 3+ Bearded Tits in the reeds (which were only heard). In total there were 10 Redshank, 1 Snipe, 4 Greenshank and 2 Black-tailed Godwit.
