It was a sunny but very windy day. The bird highlights were 2 Spoonbill and 2 Avocet pairs with 1 and 4 chicks. Also 2 Little Tern and 1 Common Tern flew over Broadwater.

Today’s moths were: 2 Small Blood Vein, 3 Mottled Rustic, 1 Brythorpa sp., 2 Minor sp., 3 White Ermine, 7 Large Yellow Underwing, 3 Setaceous Hebrew Character, 1 Shore Wainscot, 1 Willow Beauty, 1 Beet Armyworm, 1 Obscure Wainscot, 1 Brown Rustic, 1 Turnip, 1 Dog’s Tooth, 1 Garden Grass, Veneer, 1 Common Emerald, 1 Buff Tip. 1 Scoparia ambigularis, 1 Heat and Dart, 1 Anania crocealis, 1 White Point
Other insect sightings: 4 Meadow Brown, 1 Painted Lady, 1 Small Tortoiseshell, 1 Clouded Border, 1 Cinnabar Moth and 10 Cinnabar caterpillars which started to jerk to ward me off when I got close to take a photo.
