Norfolk Ornithologists Association - NOA

Another overcast and wintery day at the Obs, a bit milder and turning pretty windy and rainy in the afternoon! After all the rain last night there was no shortage of muddy puddles on the reserve.

Calm before the storm

There was a Kingfisher towards Thornham. There were two Black-tailed Godwit feeding on the flooded field at Thornham, including several Curlew, one of which was a headstarted bird with a flag but unfortunately it was too far away to read!

There was a decent count of 230 Wigeon and 255 Teal today, with smaller numbers of Shoveler and Mallard.
