Norfolk Ornithologists Association - NOA

A bit of a miserable day at the Obs, with fairly constant rain showers since 8am! The highlight of the day so far has been a Greenshank, 4 Rock Pipits and 2 Stock Doves at Thornham Harbour. There are still good numbers of wildfowl on the Broad Water, with 12 Greylag Geese, 12 Wigeon, 27 Gadwall, 46 Teal, 78 Mallard, 14 Shoveler and 2 Tufted Ducks. Elsewhere around the reserve it has been quite quiet with a small number of waders on the beach including: 45 Oystercatchers, 18 Curlew, 1 Black-tailed Godwit, 4 Bar-tailed Godwit, 5 Sanderling and 22 Redshank.
