Unfortunately it was too windy for ringing today. However, there were some nice birds around the reserve and census area including: 1 Short-eared Owl, 2 Barn Owl, 4 Pintail, 22 Shelduck, 85 Wigeon, 28 Teal, 16 Red-breasted Mergansers, 39 Common Scoter, 1 Eider, 1 Red-throated Diver, 2 Great White Egrets, 4 Grey Heron, 5 Great Crested Grebes, 186 Oystercatchers, 3 Grey Plover, 46 Curlew, 8 Black-tailed Godwit, 5 Bar-tailed Godwit, 15 Knot, 32 Sanderling, 15 Redshank, 1 Snipe, 171 Woodpigeon, 25 Skylarks, 4 Cetti’s Warblers, 1 Blackcap, 1660 Starlings, 25 Blackbirds, 5 Fieldfare, 1 Song Thrush, 24 Redwing, 33 Meadow Pipits, 4 Rock Pipits, 87 Linnets, 15 Goldfinch, 6 Greenfinch, 14 Reed Bunting, 2 Siskin and 8 Crossbills.

We only had 4 moths today in the trap a single Rusty-dot Pearl, White-point, Turnip and Large Wainscot.
