On the sea today 300+ Common Scoters, a Red-necked Grebe, 4 Fulmars, 3 Gannets, single Arctic and Great Skua, 3 Kittiwakes, 10 Sandwich and 10 Little Terns were recorded together with a Whimbrel. On the Broadwater 92 Black-tailed Godwits, 29 Lapwings, 51 Redshank and 2 Avocets were noted.

In the moth traps today 6 Dingy Footmen, 7 Scarce Footmen, a Pine Hawk moth, 2 Fern, 4 Drinkers, 6 Blastobasis adustella, Piniphila bifasciana,3 Garden Tigers, a Rustic, 2 Rosy Footmen, a Large Yellow Underwing, a Dusky Sallow, a Flounced Rustic, 3 Setaceous Hebrew Characters, a Garden Rose Tortrix, a Gold Spot, a Shaded Broad-bar, a Pine Shoot Leaf Miner, Pebble Prominent, Lesser Broad-bordered Yellow Underwing, Cochylis atricapitana,2 Single Dotted Waves, Catoptria pinella, 5 Turnips, a Copper Underwing, Chilo phragmitella, Brown-line Bright-eye, Yellow Tail, Agriphila tristella, Common Rustic, 4 Flame Shoulders, 2 Pediasia conterminella,3 Smoky Wainscots, Common Wainscot, Straw Dot and Bryotropha terrella were caught.

A Wasp Spider was by the pond and Red Admiral, Wall Brown and Gatekeeper were noted, with Migrant Hawker and Common Darter on the wing.

A Humming-bird Hawk Moth was on the buddleia.
