A breezy south westerly today at the Obs which made it very chilly! The highlight of the day was a Firecrest Bee found between the NOA car park and NWT Visitor Centre which was lovely to see. There was at least 2 Blackcap on the reserve. We spent some time going through the resident tit flock but apart from Goldcrest, the bulk of the birds around the Obs/pines was a mega flock of Long-tailed Tit and Blue Tit! There were 2 Greenshank on the Broadwater. The 2 Shore Lark and 1 Snow Bunting were still on the beach. At Gore Point, there was a bit of Chaffinch and Starling movement with 100+ Chaffinch and 250 Starling recorded going over. There was one Chiffchaff in the dunes, but unfortunately very little else in the way of warblers! A Great Spotted Woodpecker flew east over the dunes.

A quiet one for our Wednesday moth morning but with some nice species with 2 Large Wainscot, 4 Large Yellow Underwing, 6 Rusty Dot Pearl and 1 Dark Chestnut. Much better than I expected given the wind and cooler weather!
