It was calm first thing in the morning, but the wind picked up by 8am so unfortunately, we couldn’t do any ringing. When I arrived, there were 18 Song Thrushes around the Obs and clearly Meadow Pipit and Reed Bunting were migrating. I counted 35 Meadow Pipits, 14 Reed Buntings and 17 Dunnocks around East Bank and the dunes behind.

There were 2 Yellow Browed Warbler at Redwell and 1 at the Obs in the Sycamores, 1 Lapland Bunting flew over the coast path at 8:30, later there were 6 Lapland Bunting on the beach towards Thornham, and 8 at the Saltings. There were also 1 Merlin and 1 Peregrin at Thornham. A Hobby came off the sea and flew towards Obs and 1 Grey Wagtail flew over the coast path.
