The sunrise this morning was beautiful with the light streaming through the wispy clouds. The weather changed in the afternoon and at 2pm it started to rain.

It seems that the wintering birds are coming back as the first Pink Footed Geese arrived a few days ago and today I had 3 Shoveler and 10 Teal. Other than the ducks there were 3 Black-tailed Godwit, 3 Dunlin and 6 Greenshank on Broadwater; 10 Snipe flew over. There were also 100 House Martin hunting over the reserve.

Furthermore I recorded 1 Painted Lady, 5 Wall and 1 Small Heath, also 1 Grey Seal and 1 Stoat
