Unfortunately, due to the prolonged drought conditions at Holme, the turf surface of the NOA car park has degraded and, in many places, has revealed the underlying sand.

As a result, cars have been getting stuck.  We have roped off the worst areas however the degradation is spreading and we now only have a very limited car park area. If possible, and you are able to, please consider parking elsewhere and walking to the Obs.  If you do use the car park, please drive carefully and display your membership card.  We apologise for any inconvenience caused however the lack of rain is out of our control.

At this time the car park remains open however we may need to close it if the situation worsens significantly.
