Reed Dagger
The wind dropped through the night meaning we could get all the nets open this morning, it was a lovely still morning.
It was a steady morning processing 25 birds (20 new and 5 retraps), the highlight being a lovely young Willow Warbler and a moulting adult Woodpigeon!

Otherwise around the core recording area the Green Woodpecker and Great Spotted Woodpecker were still around the pines, a Green Sandpiper was calling on the Broadwater and 2 Whimbrel flew over the grazing marsh.
There were 34 species of moth in the traps today including 1 White-line Dart, 1 Fern, 1 Reed Dagger, 1 Tree-lichen Beauty, and 6 Small Mottled Willow. The number of Migrant Hawker dragonflies are beginning to build around the pines. Two Ruddy Darter were around the pond.
