The morning was overcast with some short rain showers, the afternoon had some sunny spells.

1 Hook-tipped Grass Moth, 4 Scarce Footman, 1 Sharp-angled Peacock, 2 Oak Egger, 26 Rustic/Uncertain, 1 Shuttle-shaped Dart, 1 Small Mottled Willow, 2 Small Wave Umber, 2 Smokey Wainscot, 2 Cloaked Minor, 1 Rosy Minor, 2 Garden Grey, 2 Gelecheiidae indent. 1 Buff Ermine, 2 Large Yellow Underwing, 1 Orange Pine Tortrix, 1 Common Footman, 2 Archer’s Dart, 1 Straw-barred Pearl, 2 Garden Tiger, 1 Knot Grass, 1 Pearl-banded Grass Moth, 1 Rosy Rustic, 1 Pine Leaf Mining Moth, 1 Least Carpet.

Todays bird highlights:

1 Common Sandpiper, 1 Black-tailed Godwit, 13 Dunlin, 2 Spoonbill (1 adult and 1 chick), 15 Redshank, 1 Water rail on Broadwater. 20 Common Scoter, 2 Fulmar, 10 Little Tern, 1 Great-crested Grebe, 3 Cormorants, 1 Gannet on the sea.

I also saw a Common Toad which lives under our water pump (for the ponds). Every time we start the pump some water runs down into the sand underneath and the toad seems to like living there. It always appears and sits in the puddle.
