It was a sunny but chilly morning due to the northerly wind. The highlights of today’s birding are: 2 Glossy Ibis seen flying towards Hunstanton, 3 Spoonbills and 2 Greenshank on Broadwater and 2 Ring Ouzels in the Dunes.

The moth trap contained 1 Small Elephant Hawkmoth, 2 Hebrew Characters, 4 Shuttle-shaped Dart, 2 Pine Beauty and in the brambles outside the Obs a Green Longhorn moth was found. The Small Elephant Hawkmoth is the earliest record on the Norfolk database together with a record of another one that was caught on the same night in 2011.
