Small Elephant Hawk Moth

We will be holding our annual Holme Bird Observatory Moth Day on Saturday 19th July 2025.

We will be opening our moth traps at 10am at the Observatory building to record what’s inside.

Everyone is welcome to come and see what we catch and to discover the beautiful moths that live here. Keeping our fingers crossed for good weather and lots of moths!

The event will run until 12pm. Admission is free!
