Another cold and rainy start to the day. A quiet day ringing due to waiting for the unforecasted showers to pass this morning. We caught 8 birds (most of which were retraps) including 3 Great Tit, 2 Blue Tit, 2 Robin and the highlight was a new female Goldcrest.

A Barn Owl was hunting over the track first thing this morning. At Gore Point there was 8 Snow Bunting. A Merlin was also seen, along with 2 Great White Egret. There were 9 quite close in Eider on the sea. The Ringed Plover on the beach look to be starting to establish territories.

There was 2 Hebrew Character in the moth trap. There was at least 8 Smooth Newt in the pond.
