Mottled Grey

Another gloriously sunny day with a chilly wind. Two Black-tailed Godwit were with a large flock of Wigeon on the Thornham Pools. Lots of Meadow Pipit and Skylark singing today. A Cattle Egret was on one of the pools off the track this afternoon.

In the moth traps today were 2 Hebrew Character, 1 Chestnut and 8 Mottled Grey. At least 2 Smooth Newts were in the pond.
