A beautiful sunny (but cold) day at the observatory today compared to the wet and windy conditions yesterday. The sea was quiet today, but 13 Eider, 1 Goosander, 2 Red-breasted Merganser, 2 Cormorant, 2 Turnstone, 1 Great Black-backed Gull, Common Gull, Herring Gull were recorded today along with the highlight of the day, a drake Long-tailed Duck! The Cattle Egret were hanging out with the usual cows in the fields off the main entrance track.
