On the sea today a Long-tailed Duck flew west, 3 Goldeneye, 9 Red-breasted Mergansers, 4 Goosanders, 4 Red-throated Divers and a Great Northern Diver were recorded, with a Woodcock in off. Also of note were 4 Cattle Egrets, a Greenshank, and the juvenile Glaucous Gull was seen again at Gore Point. A Short-eared Owl was hunting the marshes south of the Observatory mid afternoon.
