Shorelark by Ben Rackstraw

Another beautiful sunny day with an increasing southerly breeze. Four Russian White-fronted Geese flew east over Thornham marsh, and 5 Red-breasted Mergansers were in Thornham Channel. A Jack Snipe flew over hide 3 on the NWT reserve and a Woodcock was of note in the dunes. A female Merlin and a juvenile Peregrine were both seen, and a Kingfisher was of note. A flock of 8 Shorelark were feeding at Thornham Point and a single Cattle Egret was with cattle west of the NWT visitors centre. Also of interest were 4 Rock Pipits and 4 Bullfinches.
