A much busier day for migrants at the reserve today with over 300 Redwing, 50 Blackbird and 12 Brambling. A Yellow-browed Warbler was with the Tit flock near the staff car park, then another bird was vocal calling from the pines in front of Richardson hide, though was elusive after this. Two Jack Snipe were seen from the NWT hide 3.

In the moth traps today were 3 Beaded Chestnut, 1 Feathered Ranunculus, 4 Large Yellow Underwing, 1 Satellite, 1 Delicate, 1 Narrow-winged Grey and 1 Red-green Carpet. One Wall was still on the wing, and Common Darter and Migrant Hawker continue to be seen regularly.
