Bearded Tit
A rather quiet day, with 3 Gannets seen offshore, 11 Cattle Egrets seen from the sea wall at Thornham, and a Lesser Whitethroat moving with the tit flock around the pines. At least 3 Bearded Tits were on the edge of the Broadwater, and 2+ Water Rails were calling. Two Stonechats were also of interest.
In the moth traps 4 Large Yellow Underwings, 2 Large Wainscots, a Lunar Underwing, a Feathered Ranunculus and Beaded Chestnut were caught. Two Migrant Hawkers were still on the wing in the shelter of the pines.
