Cattle Egrets and 2 Little Egrets Seamus Francis

Up to 14 Cattle Egrets were visible from the corner of Thornham sea wall among the cows. Also of interest were 2 Great White Egrets, a Water Rail, a Greenshank, single Whimbrel, 15 Swallows, 2 Mistle Thrushes, single Rock Pipit and Siskin.

In the moth traps a Feathered Ranunculus, 13 Lunar Underwings, 2 Beaded Chestnuts, 6 Large Yellow Underwings, 2 Black Rustics, a Swallow and a Deep Brown Dart were caught.

Wall Brown, Speckled Wood, Red Admiral and Small Copper were all on the wing.
