During the afternoon a Wryneck was found in the pines near the NWT centre and another was reported from the forestry. A Yellow-browed Warbler was seen on the NOA reserve during the day but mobile, with reports of the same or another bird on NWT. At sea 5 Scaup flew east, and 4 Edier, 36 Common Scoter, 2 Red-throated Divers, 11 Gannets, 7 Great Crested Grebes, 2 Arctic Skuas, a Little Gull and a juvenile Kittiwake were recorded. Other birds of note included 6 Spoonbills, a Great White Egret, 4 Pintail, 2 Water Rails, Green Sandpiper, Spotted Redshank, Greenshank, 2 Blackcaps, a Reed Warbler, 7 Song Thrushes, 2 Redwings, 2 Stonechats, 3 Grey Wagtails, a Rock Pipit, 2 Bramblings and a Siskin.
In the moth traps a Willow Beauty, Common Marbled Carpet, 2 Deep Brown Darts, 4 Large Yellow Underwings, 5 Lunar Underwings, a Square-spot Rustic and 2 Setaceous Hebrew Characters were caught. Red Admiral and Speckled Wood butterflies were seen around the reserve despite the overcast conditions.
