There was no further sign of yesterday’s Icterine Warbler but a Wryneck in the Forestry on the NWT reserve showed well for some, and a Yellow-browed Warbler was seen in the NWT car park mid afternoon. Also of interest were 18 Pink-feet, a Pintail, 3 Garganey, 2 Whimbrel, a Black-tailed Godwit, 2 Common Sandpipers, a Green Sandpiper, Spotted Redshank, 2 Snipe, Great Spotted Woodpecker, 75 Swallows, 3 Cetti’s Warblers, 3 Willow Warblers, 4 Blackcaps, 2 Garden Warblers, 2 Lesser Whitethroats, 3 Whitethroats, 2 Spotted Flycatchers, a Pied Flycatcher, 3 Redstarts, 8 Stonechats and a Yellow Wagtail.

In the moth traps a Green Carpet, 5 Common Wainscots, 36 Large Yellow Underwings, 4 Vine’s Rustics, 15 Setaceous Hebrew Characters, 2 Flounced Rustics, 2 Rosy Rustics, 15 Square-spot Rustics, 2 Gold Spots, a Willow Beauty, 6 Small Square Spots, 3 Flame Shoulders, 2 Rush Veneers, a White-line Dart, Small Blood-vein, White Point, Centre-barred Sallow, Clay Triple-lines, Archer’s Dart and Small Mottled Willow were caught.

Butterflies included Small Copper and Brown Argus.
