On the sea today 18 Common Scoter, 2 Fulmars, 56 Gannets, 37 Sandwich Terns and 14 Common Terns were recorded, with an adult Caspian Gull found on the beach. Also of interest today were 13 Spoonbills, a Garganey, 3 Common Sandpipers, 8 Whimbrel, 63 Curlew, 9 Black-tailed Godwits, and a juvenile Little Stint was seen from the NWT hides in the morning and from the Car Park hide in the afternoon.

In the moth traps today a Frosted Orange, Fern, 3 White Points, 4 Small Square-spots, 4 Square-spot Rustics, 14 Archer’s Darts, 3 Flounced Rustics, 4 Vine’s Rustics, 22 Setaceous Hebrew Characters, 6 Smoky Wainscots, a Small Blood Vein, 5 Flame Shoulders, 7 Common Wainscots, 13 Large Yellow Underwings, a Drinker, Pale Eggar, 2 Broad Bordered Yellow Underwings, Green Carpet, Rosy Rustic, Lesser Broad Bordered Yellow Underwing, Lime-speck Pug, White-line Dart, Garden Dart, Ruby Tiger and 2 Turnips were caught.

Small Copper, Common Blue, Wall Brown and Red Admiral were the butterflies seen.
