Dark Spectacle

The adult White-rumped Sandpiper was seen again during the morning and 14 Spoonbills, 2 Great White Egrets, a Dunlin, Common and Green Sandpipers, a Greenshank and 4 Snipe were also recorded.

In the moth traps 2 Small Square Spots, 5 Flounced Rustics, a Dark Spectacle, 3 Common Wainscots, a Yellow Belle, 2 Flame Shoulders, a Setaceous Hebrew Character, 5 Archer’s Darts, 3 Large Yellow Underwings, a Double-lobed, Rush Veneer and a Lime-speck Pug were caught.

Butterflies included 12 Red Admirals, a Small White, a Green-veined White, 2 Walls, 2 Brown Argus, 5 Common Blues, a Speckled Wood, a Small Heath and 2 Gatekeepers.
