A White-rumped Sandpiper was showing well at times from the NWT hides, accompanied by a Dunlin (photo by Greg Beeton). On the sea today a Common Scoter, 4 Fulmars, 3 Great Crested Grebes, 6 Arctic Skuas, 20 Little Terns, a Black Tern, 28 Sandwich Terns, 23 Common Terns and 8 Arctic Terns were recorded. A Whimbrel, 2 Black-tailed Godwits, a Dunlin, a Common Sandpiper and 2 Snipe were also of interest.

In the moth traps a Small Blood-vein, 12 Archer’s Darts, 2 Shuttle-shaped Darts, 4 Flounced Rustics, 13 Flame Shoulders, a Straw Dot, 7 Setaceous Hebrew Characters, 2 Drinkers, a Dark Arches, 3 White Points, 4 Smoky Wainscots, 3 Turnips, a Vine’s Rustic, a Small Clouded Brindle, Large Yellow Underwing, 2 Common Wainscots and a Lime-speck Pug.

Butterflies included Brown Argus, Common Blue, Comma, Wall, Gatekeeper, Meadow Brown, Red Admiral and Speckled Wood.
