In the moth traps a Brown Tail, 6 Yellow Tails, 23 Garden Tigers, 10 Drinkers, a Least Carpet, 21 Scarce Footmen, 2 Pine Hawks, 2 Sharp-angled Peacocks, 4 Flame Shoulders, 10 Rustics, 11 Ruby Tigers, 5 Dingy Footmen, a Common Footman, Swallow Prominent, 2 Large Yellow Underwings, a Webb’s Wainscot, 2 Smoky Wainscots, a Straw Dot, 2 Single Dotted Waves, a Shaded Broad-bar, Latticed Heath, 3 Cloaked Minors, 3 Lesser Broad Bordered Yellow Underwings, an Archer’s Dart, Garden Pebble, Brown-line Bright-eye, 2 Straw Underwings, a Southern Wainscot, and a Humming-bird Hawk moth was on the wing during the afternoon.
