Garden Tiger form petriburgensis

A few waders were seen today with 6 Whimbrel passing over west, 22 Golden Plover counted and 2 Common and 2 Green Sandpipers around the Broadwater. At least 6 Spoonbills were still present, together with a Great White Egret.

In the moth traps 3 Rosy Footmen, 16 Scarce Footmen, 10 Garden Tiger (one petriburgensis ssp), 9 Sharp-angled Peacocks, 5 Common Footmen, 5 Drinkers, 4 Yellow Tails, 20 Ruby Tigers, 3 Single Dotted Waves, 12 Dingy Footmen, an Oak Eggar, 2 Straw Dots, 14 Rustics, 4 Uncertain, a Small Waved Umber, Brown-line Bright-eye, Flame Shoulder, Fen Wainscot, 2 Scalloped Oaks, a Small Waved Umber, Dusky Sallow, a Kent Black Arches, 2 Smoky Wainscots, a Webb’s Wainscot, Large Yellow Underwing, Lime-speck Pug, Angle-barred Pug and Wormwood Pug were caught.

Butterflies included Small Copper, Brown Argus, Comma, Gatekeeper, Meadow Brown, Red Admiral, Peacock, Small Heath and Ringlet.
