Whimbrel

At least 5 Spoonbills and 2 Great White Egrets were seen during the day despite decidedly autumnal conditions. A pair of Common Terns were feeding over the Broadwater and 2 Whimbrel were noted.

In the moth traps a Snout, 4 Drinkers, 5 Scarce Footmen, 3 Oak Eggars, 8 Uncertains, a Ruby Tiger, 2 Cinnabars, 9 Common Footmen, a Small Blood-vein, a Scalloped Hook-tip, 18 Rustics, 6 Rosy Footmen, 4 Brown Tails, 2 Silver Ys, a Smoky Wainscot, an Ear sp, 3 Garden Tigers, a Large Yellow Underwing, 2 Yellow-tails, a Lime-speck Pug, Peppered Moth, 2 Lyme Grasses, 2 Broad-bordered Yellow Underwings, a Flame Shoulder, 2 Dwarf Cream Waves, a Small Magpie, 2 Cloaked Minors, a Common Rustic and a Single Dotted Wave.
