Rosy Footman
On the sea today 23 Common Scoter, 4 Fulmars, 3 Gannets, 9 Sandwich Terns and 2 Kittiwakes were noted, with 13+ Spoonbills again on the Broadwater and a pair of Stonechats along the east bank.
In the moth traps 3 Common Footmen, a Rosy Footman, 8 Cinnabars, 3 Middle-barred Minors, 5 Heart & Clubs, 5 Large Yellow Underwings, a Peppered Moth, Short-cloaked Moth, 2 Smoky Wainscots, 4 Uncertain, a Latticed Heath, Barred Yellow, 3 Dark Arches, 2 Barred Straws, 2 Common Emeralds, a Double-striped Pug, 3 Small Elephant Hawks, 4 Riband Waves, a Snout, a Small Blood-vein, Light Emerald, Sand Dart and Brown Rustic were caught.
Common Blue, Small Copper, Meadow Brown, Red Admiral, Small Heath and Ringlet were recorded today, with an Emperor dragonfly seen from NWT hide 1.
