LAND PURCHASE AT HOLME

We are delighted to report that NOA has just acquired two areas of land at Holme Bird Observatory that previously were only leased to us. These purchases are vital to protect the area around the Observatory where we carry out most of our monitoring and bird ringing. Becoming landowners at Holme gives much greater protection to our nature reserve, will ensure access and will enable the continuity of the work we do at Norfolk’s only accredited Bird Observatory. We have managed to buy the land by using our core funds, but these have now been significantly depleted. We will be launching an appeal in the near future to replenish our funds which will ensure that our current high level of activities continue.
