An Osprey was seen circling Thornham Harbour mid-morning and sat on the beach for a time. Also of interest were a Cattle Egret, 3 Greenshank, a Common Sandpiper and a drake Garganey near Thornham seawall, a single Whimbrel, a Cuckoo, 3 Sand Martins, 6 Swallows, 2 House Martins, 8 Swifts, a Willow Warbler, 7 Stonechats and 2 Wheatears.

In the moth traps a Yellow Belle, 4 Cinnabars, 2 Treble Lines, a Muslin, 2 Flame Shoulders, a Turnip, 4 Green Carpets, a Small Waved Umber, a Fern, a Willow Beauty, a Knot Grass, 2 Common Carpets, a Shuttle-shaped Dart and an Angle-barred Pug were caught, with a Bordered White, 2 Silver Ys and a Humming-bird Hawk also recorded in the daytime.

Dragonflies included Broad-bodied Chaser, Four-spotted Chaser, Hairy Hawker, Large Red Damselfly, Azure Damselfly and Blue-tailed Damselfly were around the pond.

Butterflies included Brimstone, Holly and Common Blue, Green Hairstreak, Wall, Brown Argus, Small Copper and Small Heath.
