Norfolk Ornithologists Association - NOA

Visual migration was recorded again today, with Garganey pairs reported on Christie’s Pool and near Thornham Harbour, a Grasshopper Warbler reeling near the car park at Staithe Lane, a Little Ringed Plover on the flashes at Thornham, 30 Black-tailed Godwits were on the NWT pools, and 3 Ring Ouzels, 15+ Yellow Wagtails, 20+ Siskins, 6 Willow Warblers, 4 Blackcaps and 2 Whitethroats were recorded. A Wryneck was seen briefly in the dunes late morning.

In the moth traps 2 Powdered Quakers, a Red-green Carpet, 5 Hebrew Characters, 3 Red Chestnuts, Small Quaker and Dotted Chestnut were caught.
