A Short-eared Owl flew west from Thornham Harbour early afternoon and on the grazing marshes 1200 Wigeon, 1000 Golden Plover, 300 Lapwings, 330 Brent Geese, 220 Curlew and 180 Pink-feet were counted, with 6 Ruff and a Great Crested Grebe of interest on the Broadwater. Two Black-tailed Godwits were also of interest and a Greenshank was seen near the Saltings. A Great White Egret flew over the back of the marsh. A Rock Pipit and 2 Stonechats were also noted.
