A ring-tail Hen Harrier was hunting Thornham Marsh and 4 Red-breasted Mergansers were in Thornham Channel. A Water Rail was heard, and on the grazing marshes 200+ Golden Plover, 2 Snipe, 250 Lapwings and 25 Dunlin were of interest, with 2 Kingfishers also seen and a single Fieldfare in the scrub on the reserve.
