A female Goldeneye was on the Broadwater, and on the sea 4 Eider, 11 Common Scoter, 5 Red-breasted Mergansers, 2 Red-throated Divers, a Gannet and 2 Great Crested Grebes were recorded. Also of interest were 6 Water Rails, 265 Lapwings, 85 Curlew, 7 Black-tailed Godwits, 2 Greenshank, 11 Snipe, a Merlin west over the sea, 2 Cetti’s Warblers, a single Fieldfare, 8 Rock Pipits and 6 Snow Buntings.
