On the sea today 70 Common Scoter, a Red-breasted Merganser, 6 Red-throated Divers, 3 Gannets, a Shag, 6 Great Crested Grebes and 4 Razorbills were recorded. Six Snow Buntings flew east along the beach. Also of interest were 2 Spoonbills, a Scaup on the Broadwater, a Water Pipit from on the NWT pools, 36 Black-tailed Godwits, 300 Golden Plover, a female Merlin and a juvenile Peregrine were both recorded and 12 Rock Pipits, 4 Redpolls and a Siskin were also of note.

A Red Admiral butterfly and Silver Y moth were still on the wing in the afternoon sunshine.
