After a foggy start, we had a busy ringing day. After hearing lots of activity in the reedbed we ended up ringing 10 new Bearded Tits. Lots of thrushes arrived later in the day with 3 Redwing ringed and 21 Blackbirds. Also of note were 2 Rock Pipits and 4 Blackcap.
Other highlights included 1 Waxwing recorded near the car park, 14 Little Gulls, 3 Arctic Skuas, 1 Jack snipe in off the sea and 10 Cattle Egrets still.
In the moth traps today were 11 Rusty Dot Pearl, 4 Large Wainscot, 1 Large Yellow Underwing, 1 Black Rustic and 1 Yellow-line Quaker. A Red Admiral was also recorded.
