Though very unsettled a number of migrants were still on the move, highlights were 217 Dark-bellied Brent Geese, 505 Wigeon, 350 Teal, a female Long-tailed Duck, 500+ Common Scoter, 2 Goldeneye, 4 Red-breasted Mergansers, 8 Red-throated Divers, a Black-throated Diver off NWT, 14 Gannets, 5 Grey Herons in off the sea, 7 Great Crested Grebes, 340 Oystercatchers on the beach, 500+ Golden Plover, 48 Black-tailed Godwits, a Purple Sandpiper at Gore Point, 2 Spotted Redshanks, 2 Sandwich Terns, a Little and a Med Gull, Kingfisher, 9 Bearded Tits near Thornham sea wall, 4 Shorelarks near Gore Point, a Chiffchaff, 2 Blackcaps in the Forestry, a Ring Ouzel near Thornham, 25 Blackbirds, 3 Fieldfares, 50+ Song Thrushes, 120 Redwings, 2 Mistle Thrushes, 2 Stonechats, a Grey Wagtail, 8 Rock Pipits, 9 Bramblings, 4 Siskins and 15 Cattle Egrets.
In the moth traps today just a single Large Wainscot and a Grey Shoulder-Knot were caught. Peacock and Red Admiral butterflies were still on the wing in the afternoon sunshine.
