On the sea today, 1 Eider, 46 Brent Geese, 600+ Common Scoter, 2 Red-breasted Mergansers, 1 Red-throated Diver, 6 Great-crested Grebes, 1 Manx Shearwater, 25 Gannets, 1 Sandwich Tern, 1 Guillemot, 2 Razorbill and 30 Starling and 6 Fieldfare in off the sea.

A male Ring Ouzel was found close to the car park hide. Also of interest today was good numbers of Redwing, Fieldfare and Brambling moving overhead, 6 Cattle Egrets, 2 Great White Egrets, 1 Chiffchaff and 1 male Blackcap.

In the moth traps today, 7 Large Wainscot, 1 Chestnut, 1 Green Brindled Crescent and 2 Beaded Chestnut. One Red Admiral and 1 Large White were recorded in the small periods of sunshine.
