On the sea today 220 Common Scoter, 4 Red-throated Divers, 26 Gannets, 2 Great Crested Grebes, an Arctic Skua, 2 Razorbills, 3 Guillemots and a Med Gull were recorded. On the shore 4 Little Stints were with the Dunlin flock and 500+ Golden Plover flew over high west late morning. Other birds of interest were a Kingfisher, 2 Swallows, 4 Cetti’s Warblers, 7 Chiffchaffs, a Spotted Flycatcher on the north side of the pines, 2 Blackcaps, 3+ Stonechats and at least 60 Meadow Pipits.

In the moth traps today 16 Lunar Underwings, 2 Black Rustics, 6 Large Yellow Underwings, a Shuttle-shaped Dart, 6 Square-spot Rustics, 4 Feathered Ranunculus, 6 Large Wainscots, 2 Setaceous Hebrew Characters, a Least Carpet and Beaded Chestnut were caught. A Small Copper was also noted.
