On the sea today 59 Common Scoter, 5 Red-throated Divers, 77 Gannets, 2 Arctic Skuas and 26 Sandwich Terns were recorded. Also noted were a Great White Egret and a Hobby hunting in the afternoon.

In the moth traps today were 25 Lunar Underwings, 11 Large Yellow Underwings, 3 Feathered Ranunculus, 5 Squre-spot Rustics, 2 Beaded Chestnuts, a Large Wainscot, 2 White-lined Darts, a Broad Bordered Yellow Underwing, a Pale Mottled Willow, 2 Black Rustics, a Brown-spot Pinion, Deep Brown Dart, Vine’s Rustic, Sallow and a Humming-bird Hawk Moth on the buddleias.

Common Darter, Migrant Hawker and Small Copper were also noted.
