On the sea today 3 Eider, 200 Common Scoter, 4 Red-throated Divers, 50 Gannets, 3 Great Crested Grebes, an Arctic Skua, 12 Razorbills, 2 Guillemots, 6 Sandwich Terns and 5 Common Terns were seen. A Swift passed west along the beach with 70+ Swallows and a Hobby, Common Sandpiper, 2 Greenshank, a Wheatear and 2 Yellow Wagtails were also of note.

In the moth traps today a Centre-barred Sallow, 3 White-line Darts, 10 Square-spot Rustics, 28 Large Yellow Underwings, 5 Large Wainscots, 5 Setaceous Hebrew Characters, 2 Turnips, a Delicate, 2 Common Wainscots, 3 White Points, a Flounced Rustic, Broad Bordered Yellow Underwing, 2 Willow Beauties, 3 Beaded Chestnuts, a Lunar Underwing, 2 Vine’s Rustics, a Black Rustic, Webb’s Wainscot, Frosted Orange, an Ear species, and a Yellow-spot Tortrix were caught, together with 53 Narrow-winged Greys.
