Seawatching today produced 7 Brent Geese, 160 Common Scoter, 13 Red-throated Divers, 249 Gannets, 5 Great Crested Grebes, a Red-necked Grebe, 2000 Knot, 3 Pom Skuas, 13 Arctic Skuas, 5 Bonxies, 28 Razorbills, 5 Guillemots, 10 Sandwich Terns, 1 Common Tern, 5 Kittiwakes and a Little Gull. Also of note were 95 Curlew, 80 Black-tailed Godwits, 2 Common Sandpipers, a Hobby, 3 Wheatears, Yellow and Grey Wagtails.

In the moth traps a Willow Beauty, 26 Large Yellow Underwings, a Delicate, a Broad Bordered Yellow Underwing, 2 White Points, 5 Turnips, a Brown-spot Pinion, 18 Square-spot Rustics, 2 White-line Darts, 2 Vine’s Rustics, a Feathered Ranunculus, 3 Setaceous Hebrew Characters, a Pale Mottled Willow, Bright-line Brown-eye, Small Dusty Wave, 2 Lunar Underwings, a Beaded Chestnut and a Smoky Wainscot were caught.

Several Bedstraw Hawk Moth caterpillars were beginning to pupate.
