Rusty Dot Pearl

A group of 12 Wigeon, 7 Spoonbills, a Common Sandpiper and 9 Snipe were of interest. At sea an Arctic Skua, 88 Razorbills and a Sandwich Tern were still present, while 2 Hobbies were seen and 11 Stonechats were in the dunes. A total of 3 Cattle Egrets were around the pools and 5 Yellow Wagtails were with cattle near the sea wall at Thornham.

In the moth traps today, a Small Blood-vein, 5 Rusty Dot Pearls, 13 Archer’s Darts, 6 White-lined Darts, 23 Square Spot Rustics, 36 Large Yellow Underwings, 2 Pale Mottled Willows, 6 Flounced Rustics, a Frosted Orange, Ruby Tiger, 4 Vine’s Rustics, a Snout, 5 Turnips, 4 Setaceous Hebrew Characters, Brimstone, Silver Y, Smoky Wainscot, Broad Bordered Yellow Underwing, Rosy Rustic, Common Wainscot and Large Wainscot were caught.

A Small Copper, Small Heath and Comma were noted, and a Wasp Spider was still at the pond.
