Gold Spot

A further 80 Pink-feet came in during the course of the day, despite poor visibility, and 2 Gannets, 12 Razorbills, a Guillemot and 4 Sandwich Terns were seen at sea. Waders included a Common and 2 Green Sandpipers, and a Hobby was of interest, with 9 Chiffchaffs, 2 Cetti’s Warblers, 3 Blackcaps, 7 Whitethroats, 9 Stonechats and 2 Yellow Wagtails also seen.

In the moth traps 6 Willow Beauties, a Brimstone, a Gold Spot, 5 Flounced Rustics, 21 Archer’s Darts, 56 Large Yellow Underwings, 3 Turnips, 11 Setaceous Hebrew Characters, 12 Square Spot Rustics, 13 Vine’s Rustics, 7 White-lined Darts, 2 Broad Bordered Yellow Underwings, a Dingy Footman, a Frosted Orange, 2 Smoky Wainscots, a Pinion-streaked Snout, Burnishd Brass, White Point, Delicate, Common Wainscot and a Dark Sword-grass.
