Small Dusty Wave

Highlights today were a Red-throated Diver, 3 Gannets, 3 Great Crested Grebes, single Guillemot and Razorbill and 20 Sandwich Terns on the sea. Waders included 5 Avocets, 158 Oystercatchers, 16 Golden Plover west, 98 Lapwings, a Whimbrel, 147 Curlew, 3 Black-tailed and 70 Bar-tailed Godwits, 14 Knot, 5 Dunlin, 3 Little Stints, a Common and 2 Green Sandpipers, 7 Greenshank and 9 Snipe. Also of interest were 125 Swallows, a Willow Warbler, 5 Stonechats and 3 Yellow Wagtails.

In the moth traps 2 Brimstones, 39 Archer’s Darts, 16 White-lined Darts, 4 Turnips, 12 Vine’s Rustics, 3 Flounced Rustics, 8 Square-spot Rustics, 2 White Points, 27 Large Yellow Underwings, 4 Setaceous Hebrew Characters, a Lesser Broad Bordered Yellow Underwing, a Small Square Spot, 5 Smoky Wainscots, a Shaded Broad-bar, 2 Green Carpets, 3 Yellow Belles, 2 Bright-line Brown-eyes, 2 Common Wainscots, a Shuttle-shaped Dart, Single Dotted Wave, a Mouse Moth, a Fern, a Dark Arches, a Small Dusty Wave and a Yellow Shell.
